The Local Data for Equitable Communities grant program supports nonprofit organizations in using local data to address inequities in physical, economic, and social conditions that affect community health. The program helps communities understand local challenges, set priorities, and advocate for changes that promote health equity. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation expects to award up to thirty $50,000 grants for nine-month projects, with support from the Urban Institute.
Grant funds may be used to support project-related personnel costs, including staff salaries, fringe benefits, and intern stipends, as well as direct project expenses, such as meeting or convening costs and incentives for data collection participants. Indirect costs are also eligible.
